Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American singer, actress and music producer. In her early years, Sara was racially taunted by a lot of Americans. Her confidence began to grow during the 9th grade, when she appeared in an audition. She was praised by the judges for her vocal ability. The event not only helped her gain confidence but changed her goals in the future. In 1992 she graduated with her diploma from the New York's Julliard School. When she turned 23 she began her professional career on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, at 23 years old she made her film debut in You've received mail. The most notable achievement of her career was in the role of The Lady Of The Lake in Spamalot's initial Broadway production. Not only did she get the Tony Award, but her performance was also praised by critics. In the year following, she appeared on the ABC show Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider recognition for it. An accomplished singer, she's also produced one single and an extended piece. She is also a campaigner and has been active to promote LGBT rights.
