Zoe-perry

Perry was born on July 25, 1968 in Chicago In Illinois, she was the child of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. The character Jackie Harris was played by her mother in both the two episodes she appeared on Roseanne. Her parents did not allow her to begin acting with her parents till she reached an adulthood stage, because they were concerned about the anxiety it could cause. Perry claimed that she was shy to act during high school, but started doing shows in the theater at Northwestern University as a way to make friends after transferring from Boston University. Perry, after graduating from Boston University, relocated in New York in search of TV roles. Perry was able to land small roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness drove her to California to find theater work. In 2013, she was a part of The Other Place on Broadway alongside her mother. Perry was in the show with the father of her character Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 in the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. In 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family. Perry was also featured in an appearance on ABC's political thriller Scandal alongside her father. She played the younger Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off episode from CBS's The Big Bang Theory was another portrayal by her younger mother. The character was chosen via auditions having a strong association with it.
