Silk was actually born Silk was born in Fredericton (New Brunswick), Canada. Ilkay Silk is the child of Peter Silk, who is an academic and Anna Silk, who's a director, actress, producer, playwright. Anna can recall certain memories she had when she was a kid, such as seeing her mother work during play rehearsals. Silk was featured in many commercials when she was an infant. She earned her Bachelor of Arts was conferred by St. Thomas University, 1997. Early theater work includes at least two productions with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk moved to Toronto for her acting to advance in November, 1999. After a decade saw her move in Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman was her future partner when she met him in 2007 at an Actors' Workshop located in Los Angeles. They were engaged in 2009, then they were married at an official ceremony in December of that year. The 10th of April, 2011 they reaffirmed their vows at a Jewish ceremony held in Fredericton after she converted to Judaism.
